Oscar's letter to his mother sent
by Military Intelligence. It included a letter Oscar wrote in December
1943 after he had escaped while he was serving with the Guerillas.
It is written on
a piece of paper on both sides and
has been censored.
It was enclosed inside a letter
from the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff G-2 of USAFFE in
Australia . The letter informs his
mother it is mail from the Philippines. It in turn was enclosed by another
letter from Military Intelligence in WA DC informing his mother how
to write back. All of this was enclosed inside the envelope from
DEPT E of the Military Intelligence Service in WA DC. |
